PREMIOtemp PINK FLEX is the new, particularly innovative milling disc for CAD/CAM generated temporary partials and flippers. The material is a gingivacolored PMMA acrylic with thermo-effect. This effect procures that the milled flipper, when warmed up, automatically adapts in the patient's mouth, without losing its surface hardness. Mehr Info ...

The NEW milling disc for thermo-flexible temporary partials and flippers
uses
PREMIOtemp PINK FLEX is the new, innovative blank for thermo-flexible CAD/CAM milled temporary partials and flippers.
advantages
- Tension-free wearing comfort and precise fitting due to the thermo-effect
- Very durable – maximum breakage resistance through memory effect – more resistant to breakage than most conventional PMMA acrylics
- Color-adjusted for almost invisible wearing comfort
- Superior biocompatibiliy with very low plaque affinity, MMA and BPA free
- Can be easily combined with the PINK FLEX powder-liquid system for manual corrections
- Mills very well, preferably with 1-flute milling tools
- Significantly easy handling for the dentist, technician and patient thanks to the mentioned material properties

technical tipsuseful tips for your workflow
- In order to avoid excessive frictional heat during the milling process, it makes sense for thermoelastic materials such as PREMIOtemp CLEAR FLEX to reduce the rotational speed of the spindle during the milling process.
- PREMIOtemp PINK FLEX mills very well, preferably with 1-flute milling tools.
working procedurethe workflows for standard applications
Workflow in detail
CAD design and CAM nesting:
A material thickness of at least 1.0 mm (also for the clasps) must be maintained when designing the temporary partial! Please check this condition in your CAD-software. When nesting, care must be taken to ensure that a sufficient number of holder pins is attached. Since the material is thermoelastic, the flipper could otherwise deform during the milling process, which in turn could lead to milling tool breakage.
CAD/CAM milling and finishing:
PREMIOtemp PINK FLEX can be milled dry or wet, if possible with single-flute burs. In order to remove the milled workpiece from the blank, the holding pins are first cut off using a fine, cross-toothed carbide milling bur. If necessary, the temporaray partial is then further processed with appropriate carbide burs and cutting discs.
Polishing:
PREMIOtemp PINK FLEX temporary partials are pre- and high shine polished with conventional polishing brushes and pastes. Absolutely avoid excessive heat generation during polishing. Careful polishing is absolutely necessary to achieve a perfect result and to avoid plaque build-up and its negative consequences.
Cleaning:
For cleaning, the finished workpiece is placed in a water filled ultrasonic cleaning unit for five minutes at 35°C (95 °F). Cleaning solutions and/or denture cleaners are not recommended. Steam cleaning results in heat and compressive stress and must be avoided. Prior to delivery the polished and cleaned flipper needs to be kept in clear water overnight.
